Birthdays are always fun....even more fun when you get to celebrate the one you love the most....can't wait for Dara to get home to open her gifts and to start celebrating her birthday weekend!

Good morning (almost afternoon) everyone!

I'm so excited to tell you all that Dara's wonderful wedding day accessories line, Preston & Olivia, was featured on 100 Layer Cake this morning....it's by far one of my favorite blogs to read (the content is always fresh fun and innovative).  This first collection is beautiful, and it was so awesome to see it all come together before my eyes.  I would be working away at my desk to turn around and see another amazing piece created behind me.  So much love went into every handmade item.  My heart is full of joy this morning for my wife after she took a chance to create something from her heart.  I cannot wait to see the pieces worn by brides & grooms, bridesmaids & groomsmen, and fashion forward people all over!  If you'd like to purchase one, you can find it here in her store.

When it came to photographing her first collection she kind of had a connection with a photographer, that just so happened to be me.  We enlisted the help of our friend and all around amazing stylists Jacqueline Weppner of Merci New York.  Kathleen of Kat Flower rocked the Green Building (probably one of my favorite venues in nyc) with beautiful florals.  Linsey from Facetime Beauty Concierge made our models look absolutely fabulous.  My favorite designer (and fellow Louisiana native) Billy Reid provided the suiting, mens shoes (and those great saddle oxfords worn by our model Laura).  Her looks were a combination of many pulls, several from H&M, and that beautiful wedding dress is from Gabriella New York!
